Students Video Project: Making Simple Sentences using 'There is' and 'There are'

This is a video project done by a group of my Year 6 pupils. They are trying to explain how they write simple sentences based on a picture, using the structure 'There is' and 'There are' (UPSR Paper 2, Section A). The pupils recorded the video using a simple mobile phone video camera and edited the video using Windows Movie Maker. This is their first video project, and their first exposure to Windows Movie Maker.

The idea was for them to have fun learning English and to give them a chance to be creative. I also aimed at giving them some exposures to Information Technology (Windows Movie Maker, the Internet, Youtube), giving them opportunities to use some multimedia tools (the computer, video camera).

The project is one of the interventions that I have included in an ongoing Action Research that I am currently hoping to conduct in the school.

Tracks in the video:
'It's Your Favourite' by Jimmy Wahlsteen
'Tranquillity' by Jimmy Wahlsteen
